Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli with an impressive average of over 50 plus in all three cricket formats one day (ODI), T20, and Test matches. Australian player Steve Smith's average in Test is better than Kohli's. Steve Smith has scored 7227 runs in 73 matches at an average of 62.74. Kohli has 7240 runs in 86 Tests and has an average of 53.62.

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen said that Virat Kohli is a better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar. He also said that former Australian captain Steve Smith is not even around the Indian captain Virat Kohli. Peterson also said that Smith there is no similarity or comparison between two and smith does not stop in front of Virat Kohli's. 

He said that Kohli has surpassed the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar when it comes to batting second and chasing targets. Virat Kohli is the backbone of the Indian cricket team and a complete match-winner and finisher of the high-pressure matches.

He is a consistent player and a crucial role in wins matches for India. His numbers and records are getting better in chasing runs. "
